1. Le Strato Hotel

Founded by Laurent Boix-Vives (the former head of Rossignol) this family owned hotel has been a great place to stay for a skiing holiday in Courchevel since 1965.

The hotel is located at the bottom of the Cospillot piste and just 5 minutes from La Croisette. Inside the decor is a mix of contemporary and historic memorabilia, with an elegant, comfortable style.

Each of the 25 rooms or suites is uniquely designed and is slightly different each time. You'll find fresh orchids in your room every day and state of the art fixtures, fittings and entertainment. There's free WiFi and an ipod docking station, plus spacious bathrooms, concealed TV's and separate shower rooms.

The four duplex suites are over 100m2 and feautre huge baths and large living rooms with mountain views. There's also a separate chalet "Individual Cottage" that you can stay in for added privacy.

Additionally, they rent a full hotel service in a very contemporary independent chalet with a large fireplace, open plan kitchen and cosy spacious suites.

They even have their own skis, the 'Strato Skis' designed and hand-made inspired by professional skiers. They are exclusively for guests to rent. Their facilities include a children's corner on one of the terraces with a play area, and a library gallery. You can also book your taxi or helicopter here.

If you're looking for a little indulgence, the 800m2 spa area should offer you all you want to unwind, with 2 saunas, a steam room, jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool and a couple of treatment booths.

2. Chabichou Hotel & Spa

This is a family run hotel with all the rustic charm you could hope for in an Alpine hotel. Located in the centre of Courchevel 1850 and founded in 1963, this is one a great luxury hotel.

Located directly on the piste, they offer suites and bedrooms, including 65 m2 family suites with 2 separate bedrooms and living room. They all boast free WiFi, satellite TV, safe and mini-bar, with some having baby cots, mezzanine beds and terraces or balconies.

The hotel also features a ski shop, hair salon and a bakery and deli shop where you can buy Iberian hams, tapas, caviar, foie gras, smoked salmon, vegetable soups, organic bread, traditional pastries, confectionery, homemade jams and a varied choice of pre-prepared dishes to take away.

3. Les Sherpas Hotel

Situated just above the centre of Courchevel 1850, this boutique hotel's privileged position amidst pine trees of the Jardin Alpin sector, close to the ski slopes, allows you to take full advantage of the vast Three Valleys ski domain.

The hotel was built by the Pinturault family in 1961 and continues to be run by them today. Their aim is to maintain a luxurious hotel that retains the peace and charm of yesteryear. Consequently, you'll find the interior retains a traditional alpine feel but combines it with modern styling to create a chic mountain retreat.

The hotel has 37 rooms, interconnecting family suites and lounge suites. All of their rooms are comfortably furnished in a contemporary Savoyard style, using warm colours and exposed wood. They include flat-screen TVs (with satellite channels), radio, telephone, free wifi access and a room safe as standard.

After a day on the mountain, guests can look forward to relaxing in the spa with its heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room. You can also indulge in massage therapies and beauty treatments.

To keep the children entertained after they have finished on the slopes, the hotel provides a games room stocked with board games, video consoles and puzzles.

4. Olympic Hotel

A small, family-friendly hotel providing comfortable, affordable accommodation

The hotel has 27 rooms that sleep between one and three people. All rooms have large windows providing a light and airy atmosphere along with a balcony. Standard rooms are simple and comfortable and include a private bathroom and WC, television and telephone.

Superior rooms were renovated in 2014 and offer an even greater level of comfort and chic-boutique style, along with Nespresso coffee machines and en-suites with a waterfall showers.

The hotel welcomes families with smaller children, cribs and extra beds are available on request.

This hotel is ideally located near the ski lifts and offers a perfect base for your ski holiday.

This hotel is set up in the best spot in Courchevel and has 93 rooms and apartments with balconies and views to guarantee a fantastic ski holiday. The rooms are spacious and the apartments well equipped to accommodate up to eight people.

The hotel has been geared up for families and groups of friends, with additional beds available, interconnecting rooms and family suites.

Ski school and kindergarten is on the doorstep and the hotel can help arrange childcare or babysitters if needed.

You can make the most of the hotel breakfast buffet which starts at 7am. It's the perfect way to fuel up before a day on the slopes.

There is a sauna and hammam on site to relax in after a hard day on the mountain.

6. Les Flocons Hotel, Courchevel Village

The Flocons hotel can be found at the bottom of the Tovets 6 man chair lift in Courchevel 1550. It's a family run hotel with direct access to the slopes and a great little terrace to have your lunch on and watch the world go by.

All of the rooms are decorated in a simple Savoyard style and have private ensuite bath or shower facilities and satellite TV. Some also have south-facing balconies but all have great views of the surrounding mountains and ski slopes, or down over the valley and the pine forests. There are larger family rooms available as well as a number of suites, ranging in size from 40-80m2, perfect for a group of friends.

The hotel has a resident's bar to unwind in, a fabulous south-facing terrace to soak up the sun on, plus a spa with a steam room, sauna and tropical shower.

It is also a great option for corporate groups, with excellent facilities for meetings and seminars. So if you fancy organising your next work jolly somewhere a little different, then they can accommodate most requirements, all set with the backdrop of the beautiful 3 valleys just outside the window!

7. Blanche Neige Hotel, Courchevel Moriond

Open in summer & winter, this hotel has just 33 rooms and sits right at the foot of the slopes in Courchevel 1650, enjoying fantastic views over the valley.

All of the guest bedrooms are bright and spacious and have an en-suite bathroom, TV, telephone, wifi and lift access. There is also a superior junior suite with two bedrooms suitable for a family or 2 couples.

The hotel also features a new ski room, a restaurant, bar, sauna, steam room and a warm, friendly atmosphere. There is also an entertainment programme of evening activities.
