If you're after more of a gentle hike in the Courchevel and Three Valleys area than there are plenty of easier walking routes that you can amble along. Each route will have lovely alpine views and scenery which you can explore and enjoy along the way.
The bus service in Courchevel means that you can get to the lifts and surrounding hamlets of Courchevel where most of the gentle walking and hiking routes start with ease. Just grab a timetable to make sure you don't miss it.
The summer passes, at a much reduced price from the winter passes in Courchevel, mean that you can hop on a lift that will take you up the mountain, cutting out a large walking time, giving you the opportunity to head off on a gentle walk or hike at high altitude without having to do the strenuous bit. The lift system also allows for you to be easily transported back down to the resort, whizzing you down quickly in cases of bad weather, tiredness or injury.
Below are a few suggestions for some gentle walks and hikes. There are plenty more to choose from so grab a walking guide or map from a magasin and take a look at our lift system page for a walking map.
Walk 1 - Col du Fruit
Starting point: Top of the Saulire Lift
Duration: 2h45
This gentle and beautiful walking route starts with lovely alpine views from the top of the Saulire lift, where you can take in the high alpine scenery and enjoy the mountains. From here the walk takes you down a route labelled 'easy', all the way down to Courchevel 1850 town. Starting from the top of the Saulire lift you want to take the path that heads to the Col du Fruit. Once you reach the Col du Fruit viewing point take the trail that leads down to Lac des Crux, where you can stop and have a break or rest if needed (there is no refreshment hut so bring your own). From here keep heading down the trail past the Courchevel Altioirst and Lac du Biolley all the way down to Courchevel 1850. This trail is marked 'four' on the walking map.
Walk 2 - Vers 1850
Starting point: Top of La Tania bubble lift (La Tania 1400)
Duration: 1h15
Another gentle and easy walking route starting in La Tania, which you can hop on a bus from Courchevel to get to, you head to the top of the La Tania bubble lift. Taking in the view from the top you want to take the trail that heads to Courchevel 1850. Keep following the trail and you will finish the route in the centre of Courchevel. With forests and alpine wildlife on the way you can take in the summer time mountains. This route is labelled 'seven' on the walking map.
