Sitting at around 1,747 metres, it’s the highest and most glamorous part of the resort, renowned for its impressive range of five-star hotels, exclusive chalets and world-class skiing across the vast Three Valleys ski area.

If you’re after five star service, boutique style and the very best facilities, this is where you want to be. The village caters to a wealthy and celebrity clientele, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself sharing a lift with someone famous. With its own private airport and top-notch infrastructure, Courchevel 1850 combines a peaceful alpine setting with all the luxury shopping and services you could need — from designer boutiques to the latest tech.

While there are some more affordable apartments and catered chalets in nearby areas like Le Plantrey, expect to pay a premium for the privilege of staying in the heart of this chic and exclusive resort, where skiing, dining and après-ski are on another level.

La Tania is a small, traffic-free family resort sitting at 1,400 metres, nestled between Courchevel and Méribel. Built in the 1990s as the athlete and journalist village for the Albertville Winter Olympics, it’s grown into a charming spot with wood-clad apartments and traditional chalets surrounded by spruce forests. 

Its north-facing slopes offer gentle blue and green runs and quick gondola access into the vast Trois Vallées ski area. With a friendly village feel, bars, restaurants, shops, ski schools and medical facilities, La Tania is perfect if you want a relaxed, good-value Courchevel holiday with a bit of its own character.

Situated at 1,300 metres, it is easily accessible throughout the winter months with direct lift access to the ski area. Unlike the glitzier parts of Courchevel, Le Praz has stayed authentic and affordable, making it a great choice if you want quieter, reasonably priced accommodation without compromising on ski access.

Le Praz is perfect for families and anyone after a calm ski holiday with easy access to the slopes. With plenty of apartments and chalets on offer, it’s an ideal spot if you want to enjoy the Three Valleys without the buzz of the higher resorts. In summer, the area transforms into a peaceful haven, perfect for hiking or simply soaking up the mountain views.

With its own ski area linked to the larger resort, plenty of shops, bars, and self-catering options, it’s popular with British visitors and seasonnaires. The village offers a friendly atmosphere and lively nightlife without the hefty price tag.

Courchevel 1650, also known as Moriond, offers a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere compared to the exclusive vibe of Courchevel 1850. It’s a popular choice for British chalet companies and seasonnaires, with a growing number of hotels and chalets popping up regularly. The village centre runs along the main road linking Courchevel Village and Courchevel, where you’ll find most shops, bars and restaurants, plus bus stops connecting to nearby resorts. 

With plenty of self-catering options and a large supermarket stocking all your favourite English treats, it’s a great base for a more affordable ski holiday. Moriond has its own ski area linked to Courchevel and boasts a lively nightlife that’s friendlier on the wallet, making it an ideal choice if you want a mix of good skiing and a sociable vibe without the premium price tag.

The village also boasts a modern pool and spa complex, making it a great all-round base.

Courchevel Village (1550) sits at 1,550m and offers a more affordable, quieter alternative to the higher resorts of Courchevel 1650 and 1850. It’s a charming traditional alpine village with a peaceful vibe, making it perfect for families looking to escape the nightlife. The village has a good mix of chalet-style buildings, modern hotels and self-catered apartments, all spread along the main road.

Although nightlife is limited here, you’re just a short gondola or chairlift ride from the busier parts of Courchevel and the wider ski area. The village has recently been refreshed with facilities like Aquamotion, a large swimming pool and spa complex. You’ll also find plenty of ski hire shops and essential services, although for a pharmacy you’ll need to head up to Moriond or 1850.
