Discover the latest Courchevel snow conditions
Courchevel is moving into a settled spring pattern, but there is still a dependable base across the mountain and plenty of good skiing to be found. Higher sectors linking into the wider Three Valleys are holding up particularly well, while the tree lined runs back into the lower villages are clearly softer as the afternoons develop. The overall feel is calm and consistent, with conditions that reward a bit of planning through the day.
Snow depths are currently around 80 to 120 cm at resort level, with between 180 and 260 cm higher up across the ski area. There has been very little recent snowfall, with only light flurries at altitude that have not significantly altered the base. Coverage remains good across the majority of pistes, especially above mid mountain.
Temperatures have been ranging from minus 6 to minus 2 degrees at higher elevations, while resort level has seen daytime highs of around plus 6 to plus 11 degrees. The freezing level has been sitting between 2300 and 2700 metres, dropping overnight which is helping maintain a reliable refreeze. Winds have generally been light, with occasional moderate breezes on exposed ridgelines.
Piste conditions are firm and well groomed first thing, offering good grip across most sectors. As the day progresses, the snow softens into a classic spring surface, particularly on sunnier slopes. Lower runs back into Courchevel 1550 and Le Praz become heavier by mid afternoon, while higher areas towards Saulire and beyond into the Three Valleys hold better quality snow for longer.
The outlook is for continued settled weather, with plenty of sunshine expected and only a small chance of light snowfall at higher elevations. Temperatures will remain mild, so the current pattern of firm mornings and softer afternoons is set to continue.
Courchevel is maintaining a lively late season atmosphere, with a range of events and activities across the different villages. Outdoor terraces are busy in the afternoons, and there is a steady programme of entertainment and on mountain events as the resort moves towards the final weeks of the season.
Weather outlook as of: 30 March 2026. As I am sure you are aware, accurately forecasting weather more than two or three days ahead in the mountains is notoriously tricky. If there is a significant change we will update this section before the next full weekly snow report.
Courchevel continues to offer enjoyable spring skiing, with the best conditions found early and higher up. Focus on the upper slopes and plan your day around the warming temperatures to keep ahead of the softer snow.
