Snow Report 23/11/22
It’s really beginning to feel a lot like winter out here in Courchevel. Snow capped peaks once again adorn our winter landscape. It’s getting so close to the start of a new ski season now, who’s excited?
After a good snowfall last weekend of around 14cm, we are looking forward to light snowfalls in the coming week and it’s pretty cold out there now. The freeze thaw conditions for the next week range from a maximum of 4°C to a minimum of -7°C. Currently it is looking like more snow is forecast tonight, Friday night and then from Sunday evening and will continue for a few days. This will all help to create a good base and whilst we can’t see a really huge dump of snow in the coming week, we can see regular light snowfall. (EDIT 28/Nov/22 the forecast has changed and there is not very much snow forecast at all for the coming week now. We'll update you as soon as we see snow on the horizon!) It's still early days and not science based but normally good dumps of snow in early December have afforded plentiful skiing right from the opening dates. So get your ski gear out and those skis waxed and ready to go.
Courchevel is opening on the 3rd December and having a great opening party on Sunday 4th with an 80’s theme, exhibition, concert, snow rally and marshmallow party from 2pm at Courchevel 1850.
