It has been announced on Monday, June 25th, that the 2018 Millet Mountain Race scheduled for July 1st will be abandoned due to rising temperatures causing safety concerns.

A ski touring event incorporating via feratta, the combination of remaining winter snow and the warmer temperatures over the previous week have made for unstable conditions, forcing those in charge to call a halt to the 2018 edition. Organisers have said that the race will return in 2019.
