Courchevel retains its place as the ski resort with the most Michelin stars. After adding 2 last year, the number remains steady at 12 for 2018.
Courchevel is home to one restaurant with the coveted and prestigious 3 stars, Le 1947. Named for a notable vintage of Chateau Cheval Blanc, the exclusive restaurant at the Cheval Blanc hotel welcomes a limited number of diners each night to experience the culinary creations of head chef Yannick Alléno. It is one of only three 3-star restaurants in the French Alps.
In total there are 7 starred restaurants in Courchevel, three 1-star restaurants, three 2-star restaurants and the aforementioned 3-star restaurant. If you're so inclined and have deep pockets, you could dine at a different Michelin-starred restaurant every night of your stay! We'll call it the Courchevel Star Challenge.
