La Luge Bar & Restaurant

Good Lunch Choice - Great Food & Convenient Location

featured in Restaurant reviews Author Nicolas Pirlot, Updated

Perfect for a quick bite to eat in the centre of Courchevel 1850.

Conveniently located in the Forum, in the centre of the resort, this place is one of the few where having a bite for lunch is not extortionate, and where you can access free WiFi.

They are also a sports shop, which makes them a unique concept, so you can do a bit of shopping after you've eaten! Their menu offers hamburgers, salads, wraps, soups and snacks, so it's great if you want a quick bit to eat before heading on.

I opted for the Entrecotre with blue cheese sauce which came served with fat chips and a side salad, for 14 euros (see pic). The portions were good and the food was well presented with the steak cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and prompt.

The Forum is just next to the Croisette, so it's easy to come meet people (any non skiers that might be in your party) and have a bite away from the slopes, then you can pop into the next lift back up to the slopes or head home.

La Luge has a good atmosphere. The only downside is that it's in the shopping centre, so you may have to leave your skis outside.
