Courchevel feels settled and confidently wintry this week, with cold mornings in the villages and a clear alpine atmosphere across the Trois Vallées. The mountains look well covered above the tree line, while lower slopes show a neat contrast between shaded forest runs and sunnier open faces. The season feels properly underway now, with conditions that are reliable and a relaxed rhythm on the slopes as skiers spread out across the area.
Snow and Weather Summary
Snow depths in Courchevel are currently around 50 to 70cm at resort level, increasing to approximately 170 to 210cm on the upper slopes. There has been only light snowfall over the past week, mainly refreshing the surface at altitude rather than adding notable depth lower down. Temperatures have remained cold, with freezing levels mostly below 1100m and daytime temperatures in resort staying close to zero. Winds have generally been light, occasionally picking up on exposed ridges but with little impact on lift operations. Skiing conditions are best above mid mountain where the snow remains cold, compact and consistent, especially on north facing terrain. Lower runs are firm early in the day and soften slightly by late morning on sunnier aspects, but coverage remains good on main routes.
