Courchevel is in fine mid February form, with the tree lined slopes above 1550 and 1650 holding a good winter feel and the higher bowls towards Saulire and the Vizelle looking properly alpine. The village is lively with school holiday visitors, yet the sheer scale of the Three Valleys means there is always space to find your own rhythm on the mountain. The season has built steadily and right now conditions feel settled and dependable across all levels.
Snow and Weather Summary
Snow depths currently sit at around 110 cm at resort level in Courchevel 1850, with between 190 and 230 cm on the upper slopes around 2700 metres. There has been a light refresh of roughly 5 to 8 cm over the past few days, just enough to brighten the surface without significantly changing the base. The underlying snowpack remains solid following earlier February snowfall.
Daytime temperatures have been ranging from minus 8 to minus 4 degrees at altitude and around minus 3 to plus 1 degree in the villages, depending on sun exposure. The freezing level has generally hovered between 1400 and 1700 metres, dropping lower overnight. Winds have been light to moderate, with occasional gusts on exposed ridges but no widespread disruption.
On piste, conditions are very good overall. Higher north facing runs towards La Tania and the Vizelle side are holding a firm, grippy surface through most of the day. South facing slopes towards Courchevel Moriond soften slightly by mid afternoon but remain well covered. Lower runs back to the villages are skiing reliably, though busier sections can become polished later in the day. Coverage is consistent across the linked terrain into Méribel and Val Thorens, making for confident long distance cruising.
