Courchevel has that settled mid February feel at the moment, with proper winter cover from Le Praz right up to the Saulire ridge. The trees are still holding snow from earlier in the week and the higher peaks across the 3 Valleys are looking well filled in. It has been busy with half term guests arriving, but the mountain is coping well and the overall impression is of a season that is in good shape and building steadily. Underfoot conditions are reliable and consistent across most sectors.
Current snow depths are sitting at around 85 cm in Courchevel 1850, slightly less in the lower villages such as Le Praz at 1300 metres, and between 190 and 230 cm on the upper slopes around Saulire at 2700 metres. Over the past seven days the area has seen around 10 to 20 cm of fresh snowfall above 2000 metres, with lighter accumulations lower down. This has freshened the pistes and improved coverage on steeper and more exposed runs.
Daytime temperatures in resort have been hovering around minus 1 to 2 degrees, dropping to minus 8 degrees overnight. At altitude it has remained colder, between minus 10 and minus 5 degrees, helping to keep the snow dry on north facing slopes. The freezing level has generally stayed around 1600 to 1800 metres. Winds have been moderate on higher ridgelines but without major disruption to lift operations.
Looking ahead, a more significant snowfall is forecast from late Friday into Saturday, with current projections suggesting 25 to 40 cm of new snow above 2200 metres and around 15 to 25 cm in resort. This anticipated snow dump should noticeably refresh the whole Courchevel side of the 3 Valleys and improve off piste conditions once it stabilises.
The immediate outlook is for unsettled weather with snowfall and reduced visibility followed by clearer, colder conditions early next week. Once skies brighten, the combination of a solid base and fresh snow should offer very good skiing across the higher terrain linking towards Méribel and La Tania. The resort calendar remains busy with guided snowshoe walks, family activities and evening entertainment organised through the tourist office, adding to the lively half term atmosphere without affecting daytime skiing.
Weather outlook as of: 12 February 2026. As I am sure you are aware, accurately forecasting weather more than two or three days ahead in the mountains is notoriously tricky. If there is a significant change we will update this section before the next full weekly snow report.
Courchevel is skiing well across most elevations, with the best and most consistent snow currently above 2000 metres. With a substantial fall of fresh snow forecast, conditions are set to improve further, particularly on higher north facing slopes once visibility returns.
