What's new in Val Thorens

The lifts opened on Saturday in Val Thorens marking the beginning of the new ski season in France.

Since last winter Val Thorens has invested more money in their superb board park by adding an new lift and boarder-cross course. There is also a new apartment block and a many of the other buildings have been refurbished.

Val Thorens now also has a child friendly sledging area at the top of the retour drag lift in the centre of town and when your day on the hill has come to an end there is the all new, all singing, all dancing Dick’s T-bar . The highest night club in the Alps!

There are loads of events in Courchevel and the 3 Valleys year round. From quirky local events to large scale sporting spectacles, there is always something worth visiting. Every February, the spectacular International Festival of Pyrotechnic Art comes to resort. Summer highlights include the Courchevel Air Show, the 3 Vallées VTT mountain bike event and the occasional stage of the Tour de France.
