Courchevel & La Tania lift operators S3V have announced that they're planning to spend 2 million euros on upgrading their artificial snow making facilities.

They will be creating artificial snow in areas where snow-makers aren't currently located; at the Moriond snow front, Bel Air, the Proalong-Suisses liaison, Boulevard du lac des Creux, Anémones piste, the bottom of Arolles leading to La Tania gondola, Plan Fontaine and the top of the Vizelle to where it meets the junction of the piste des Creux.

Around 120 existing snow-makers will also be replaced with more efficient and economical models. There are currently 600 snow-makers in the Courchevel ski area.

Tenders have been launched and commissioning of the new machines should take place in time for the 2017-18 ski season.
