Although a recent construction, the Chalet Fitzroy has been built with traditional slate and stone and the owners have added personal touches which make this property an idyllically cosy place to be in the winter.
They have chosen to decorate the property with bespoke alpine furnishings. The open-plan living/dining room with its large wood burning fireplace and fantastic balcony just oozes Alpine charm. There is plenty of comfortable seating for everyone around the fireside and the spacious balcony offers excellent valley views - a perfect spot for afternoon tea with a slice of cake.
The chalet's sauna awaits those wishing to relax after a full day of exercise on the pistes. For entertainment the chalet includes a TV, DVD player, free WiFi access and an iPod docking station.
The chalet can sleep up to 8 in 4 rooms which are configured as follows:
- Bedroom 1: Austrian Twin (double duvet) with shared balcony, en-suite ¾ bath & loo
- Bedroom 2: Austrian Twin (double duvet) with shared balcony, en-suite shower & loo

The chalet is available on a flexible catered basis, meaning that you can take the holiday either catered (breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal with wine for six out of seven nights), self catered, or part catered (you choose which meals you want and when).

You’ll need to book your own childcare, when staying here. There is a great choice of childcare options in Courchevel from full-time nanny services to the odd night of babysitting. In addition, during the winter season, many of the ski-schools operate creche services. Booking in advance is always recommended and strongly advised for the school holiday periods.

Flights can be arranged on your behalf, and for those travelling from the UK, the company have an ATOL number (6860). Generally they look to see what is available on the internet across numerous different carriers to find the best flights for you according to price and timings. There is external parking for up to one car on the property.
As you increase in altitude towards Courchevel you also seen an increase in facilities with Courchevel Moriond having a better selection of shops, bars, restaurants and amenities than the lower two resorts whilst still retaining the small town charm.
Courchevel Moriond has a nice selection of restaurants with everything from the creative menu at Le Table du Monali to local specialities and pizzas made on an open wood fire at Le Petit Savoyard or a good ol' pancake at Alti Crepes.

With the north facing aspect of many slopes in Courchevel they are some of the best in the Three Valleys. There are great views across to Mont Blanc and over the valley to Champagny and Bellecote in the La Plagne ski area.

Things to Do Nearby
Based at 1650m there is great skiing to be had from the base of Moriond along with cross country skiing and if you need time to relax there are two great spas, Bamford Oskia Le Portetta and Mahayorna Spa Manoli. In the summer there is walking, biking and rock climbing along with a unique opportunity to brush up on your musical skills or learn a new instrumet at the Courchevel Music Academy!

On the Les Verdons platueau in Courchevel there is a nine hole golf course. There is also a driving range with 27 bays including seven covered bays along with pitching and putting greens.

From the snow front in Courchevel Moriond the main lift is the Ariondaz Gondola from which you can ski towards the Aiguille du Fruit Chairlift for connections to the main part of Courchevel and towards Meribel. Alternatively there is plenty of cruisey blues and challenging reds in Moriond alone that can be accessed via the Signal lift. The snow front also doubles as a beginner area and there are a number of drag lifts which lead you to gentle greens and blues.

Courchevel Moriond offers some really different apres at Le Poretta with the fire and ice bar - drink ice shots whilst keeping snug under fur blankets until it's time to wobble home. For a more lively venue try the Funky Fox or Le Bubble Bar. If you want more of a French vibe the small quaint La Cabane will do the trick.

This chalet company likes to offer as much flexibility as possible, so you can arrive as early as 09:30. Please note that the guests from the previous week may still be in the chalet, and the chalet will not have been cleaned or ready to occupy. The early arrival in the chalets is purely to provide guests with the opportunity to get an extra days skiing in on their holiday.
Continuing to offer flexibility, you do not need to leave the chalet until 16:30. However, you will need to have cleared and be out of your rooms by 09:00. There may well be a cross over of guests, and you will need to be relatively flexible, but this will allow you to add an additional day's skiing to your holiday.
