You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here. Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Some companies may also deliver so it’s worth looking at all the options.

Instructors & Lessons
When staying here, you’ll need to book your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Group lessons are a great way for children to learn with their peers whilst giving you some free time on the slopes. Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.

Guides & Tours
When staying here, you’ll need to book your own Guides & Tours, which are a great way to discover Courchevel whilst doing a number of fun activities. During the winter, if you are keen to go off-piste, booking a High Mountain Guide is strongly recommended. Not only do they know the best local spots, these highly trained and experienced individuals are very familiar with the surroundings and can provide loads of insights you won’t get by yourself, as well as helping to ensure your safety.

As the name suggests from the recent re-name of resorts, Courchevel Village is a small village resort without the glitz and glamour of Courchevel. It is a functional resort and has a great location at 1550m to access the Courchevel ski area.
When the sun is shining Courchevel Village is the place to be with the south facing terrace at La Table Les Flocons and the sunny terrace at L'Oeil de Boeuf both at Tovets. Right in the centre of Courchevel Village you can get a great pizza at Le Cortona.

Courchevel Village has two lifts that lead up to Courchevel 1850. Grangette is the Bubble Lift that drops you directly into the Croisette building which houses Courchevel 1850s main lifts leading out into this vast ski domain. This lift is open after the pistes close to provide access to the Luge run situated at the top of the village as well as Courchevel 1850. The other lift is the Tovets Chair Lift which stops just in front of the Croisette. From here you can either take off your skis/snowboard to access the main lift station of Courhevel 1850 or you can follow the piste down towards Le Praz and the Plantrey Chair Lift. As well as providing connections to Meribel and La Tania, the Plantrey lift is a great way to avoid the queues in Couchevel's main hub.
